So sorry to hear about Martine. She was a very kind and patient person. I had personal experience of her care once and will always be grateful.

We were 17 years old when we met as brand new student nurses at the Royal Berks. We hit it off from day one and I have so very many fond memories of those days. Especially sitting on the window sill at the end of the corridor, outside your room in Craven Road, and putting the world to rights. We weren’t the most conscientious of students back then, but loved life and lived it to the full. We didn’t see each other in person very often but kept in touch over the years and got together for some of the bigger events in our lives. You were taken too soon and the world has lost a beautiful soul. Missing you with all my heart. Friends forever, until me meet again 💜 xxx

After meeting on Nuffield 1 ward when Martine was a student nurse back in 1987 & working together on Benyon ward in the 1990’s we became firm friends & although we didn’t meet up often we easily picked up where we’d left off. We had such fun & laughter whenever we got together. Our Benyon ward reunions will not be the same without you. Heaven has gained an angel. RIP my friend. Xx
